Wet Weather Policy

Rum & Reggae Shrewsbury Shrewsbury Quarry Park July 25th 2026

"We can't promise the sun, but we can promise the rum"

WET WEATHER & OUTDOOR CONDITIONS POLICY

Rum & Reggae is a Caribbean-themed outdoor festival held on grass, and our events go ahead in rain, shine, showers or typical British weather.
Please read this policy carefully before attending.

1. Outdoor Conditions

Our festivals take place fully outdoors on grass and open ground.
We recommend bringing:

  • Waterproof clothing

  • Suitable outdoor footwear (trainers or boots)

  • Layers for cooler evenings

  • Sunscreen and hats for sunny spells

Ground conditions may become soft or muddy after rain.

2. Rain or Shine – The Festival Goes Ahead

The event continues during:

  • Rain or drizzle

  • Light to medium showers

  • Cold or cloudy weather

  • Wind or heat

  • Any normal British weather that does not create a safety risk

Bad weather or discomfort is not grounds for refunds.

3. Extreme Weather – Safety First

We will only stop, postpone, or cancel the festival if severe weather creates a genuine safety risk, such as:

  • Extreme high winds

  • Lightning directly approaching or over the site

  • Flooding or unstable ground

  • Safety advice issued by authorities or the on-site safety officer

Any decision is made in consultation with local authorities and emergency services.

4. Refund Policy (Please Read Carefully)

Tickets are non-refundable for any reason, including:

  • Rain or bad weather

  • Mud or wet ground conditions

  • Cold, heat, or discomfort

  • Choosing not to attend

  • Personal circumstances

  • Travel issues

  • Line-up changes

If the festival goes ahead — even in rain — no refunds will be issued.

Refunds are only given if the entire event is cancelled by the organiser for safety reasons.
If cancellation occurs, refunds will be processed automatically (excluding booking fees).

5. Postponement

If the event cannot proceed safely and must be rescheduled:

  • All tickets automatically transfer to the new date

  • If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within 14 days of the announcement

6. Operational Changes During Weather

If required, we may temporarily:

  • Pause performances

  • Adjust stage times

  • Add temporary cover

  • Relocate activity areas

  • Manage movement around the site

These changes do not qualify for refunds.

7. Final Note – Bring the Caribbean Vibes

Rum & Reggae is all about good vibes, good music, and great rum — whatever the sky is doing.
Dress for all weather, come prepared, and enjoy the festival.
Rain or shine… we move!
